_Bitty City Players was founded in 2011 by Danielle Cohn and Caroline Patterson.
Vice President & Co-Founder
In addition to serving as Bitty City's VP and Co-Head Teaching Artist, Danielle is also a preschool teacher at a private school on the Upper West Side. From the fall of 2009 to the summer of 2010, Danielle starred in two ArtsPower children's theater productions, which toured the continental United States. In addition to these productions, she starred in The Wizard of Oz three times and in numerous other family shows. Danielle has also been featured on Sesame Workshop's television show, The Electric Company, as well as NBC's Lipstick Jungle. While acting professionally, she also nannied extensively and tutored in NYC. She grew up in New Jersey, and received her B.A. in History from Johns Hopkins University, with a minor in Theater, and a minor in Voice at the Peabody Conservatory.
President & Co-Founder
In addition to serving as Bitty City's President and Co-Head Teaching Artist, Caroline is also a tutor and family specialist in NYC. Prior to that, she coached Drama and Speech at the Children's Theater Company (Manhattan location), and worked at The National Guild for Community Arts Education. She completed an extended internship with the Education Department of the Roundabout Theatre Company, and served as the Director of Education for Duke University's Children's Theater Company. She has studied Shakespeare in London, improv at the Upright Citizen's Brigade in NYC, and Commedia dell'Arte at the Centre Seélavy in France. While acting professionally, she also nannied extensively in NYC. Caroline grew up in Manhattan, and received her B.A. in Theater from Duke University, with minors in Elementary Education and French.
